I didn’t think I would ever see the day when my bunny deemed me worthy of feeding him something he actually liked!  (See photo of major bunneh disapproval here…

Ha ha. However, along comes the lowly blueberry and he is now following me around wanting more. He wasn’t that thrilled with strawberries, and only slightly enjoyed pineapple, but those blueberries have got him in a tither. I bet he even dreams of them. He has also decided he now likes cilantro, parsley, kale, various baby greens like spinach and field greens, celery, carrots and pea pods. It took him a while, he was very suspicious of them at first, but now he is happy to see me because I bring the goodies, and his poops look good, so bunny life is good!

My Monty loves blueberries, too. (Though, he’d probably sell himself on the streets for just about any kind of fruit…) Maybe it’s because they’re sweet and nummy but also something rabbits might actually have access to in the wild?

My bunny girl Juli loves the blueberries too. On her birthday I made little cakes for each bunny made of a slice of banana with a blueberry on top! It worked well for Juli and Kramer, while she stole the blueberry off his “cake” he was eating her banana!

Ha ha ha – I got a funny visual of Monty walking the streets to satisfy his fruit jones.  Hee hee, that’s a good one. So far I’ve only tried blueberries, strawberries and pineapple. I’m going to try bananas and papaya soon.

I went out and got blueberries for my Ebony today, I put the packet on the ground and let her choose a couple. Boy did she love them.

It seems that my buns are the only ones that doesn’t like blueberries. They just smelled it once and turned their back on it.

In respons eto DustBunneh’s picture of Monty– he would totally have a pimp hat.

Yes, definitely a pimp hat when he’s out working for those blueberries!  Ha ha ha. On a side note, I gave the gray beast a 1/2 slice of apple today and he really enjoyed it. Apparently, he now trusts my judgment as to foods I think he might find tasty so he usually tries whatever I present to him (of course, on a silver platter!  ha ha)

I gave Ebony a couple of blueberies this morning.

I don’t think I was quick enough as she slapped my hand, I suppose is was her way to say hurry up.

                              Haha that picture is awesome!

My little Lucy likes most fruits, blueberries are one of them! But we only get them here when they are in season.

Other fruits she loves are apples and bananas. We tried raisins and she doesn’t really approve of those.

Does anyone else’s bunny twitch when they are eating something yummy?

Boy, I think my buns are weird! They don’t like fruits or raisins at all! I’ve tried pieces of apple, banana, strawberry tops, raisins and blueberries. They just sniff at them and walk away. The only thing they like is dried papaya. I guess I should be grateful.

I have no doubts about Foo Foo and blueberries now.  I haven’t even tried to give them to him but I was sitting on the floor with a bowl of them in my lap and next thing I knew I had a lil Foo Foo jumping into my lap trying to steel my breakfast.  It shouldn’t surprise me too much though because he goes crazy for cherries and grapes also.

I’ll have to try offering blueberries to Dustor and Petie. Aside from blueberries, Dustor doesn’t go for veggies OR fruits except dried diced papaya. Fresh papaya he turned and ran away from. So did Petie. But Petie loves curly endive, cilantro, and italian parsley, also red and green leaf lettuce and of course, dried diced papaya, both their favorite.

My bunnies both detest any kind of berry. They mostly just smoosh them up. So far they are only mildly fond of apples-in fact when I gave them apples they ate them last after all of the veggies. They don’t care much for pineapple either. They do however loooove bananas and dried papaya, and they enjoy (but don’t love quite as much as bananas and dried papaya) any kind raisin type food, I found a mix of raisins, dried cranberries, and dried blueberries which they quite enjoyed. Such picky bunnies! It’s also funny that they seem to confer on whether they like something because I have yet to find a treat that only one of them liked! I guess they like to present a united front so that they are sure to get only tastiest of treats.

Ha Ha! I can picture our bunnies congregated at the gate of their pens holding picket signs that read: “ONLY TASTY TREATS!!” Well, the blueberries were a bust when offered to Dustor and Petie so that’s one more mark off the list to try…although I enjoyed them. Petie did enjoy a small piece of dried mango “soft & juicy” the other night.
