We have had our rabbit 3 months and she is constantly licking the blanket that she spends her play/exercise time on. She has access to her pen area on the blanket for most of the day and so she spends a lot of time just relaxing on it. While she is laying down, if she isn’t asleep, she is usually licking the blanket. Sometimes, she licks so much that you can see a wet spot on the blanket. Is this.
Does anybody know why she might be doing this? Is it normal?
Any answers you have are appreciated! Thanks!

It’s a grooming-behavior. You can give her a toy bunny, and she might treat it like a friend. Choose a toy for small children, those are the safest, but keep an eye so she doesn’t eat it (bunnies can eat some strange things).

Rabbits spend a lot of time grooming each other, many rabbits will lick their owner’s hand or clothes during cuddling. My bunny Bam licks his tunnel sometimes.

Thanks so much for the advice! We will go out and get her a stuffed bunny this afternoon.
