I recently got 2 cats and my bunny who doesn’t like change suddenly started peeing on the couch. Im 99% sure he’s marking (its always in my cushion). Cutting off access to the couch isn’t an option. When i shut the living room door he’ll pee on the floor in front of it (even when i put his litter box there). Has anyone been successful deterring their rabbits from peeing on furniture? He is fixed and otherwise has fantastic litter habits

My bun did the same thing. I blocked him from accessing the couch, and after a couple of weeks, he had forgotten all about the couch. But before I blocked it off, he was very determined to get up there and pee. So if you can block him from it temporarily, he might not care about it later. He and the cats will eventually establish some sort of relationship, but right now, they are intruders and his instincts urge him to mark “his” territory.

My Nigel does this too, despite being 90% litter trained! We initially thought it’s because the previous tenants had a dog, but we’re pretty sure he just does it to let us know he’s not happy with the balance of his little world…
