Hey there! I’m going to take my rabbit to the vet (appointment tomorrow) but I’m hoping someone might recognize these symptoms in the meantime.

First Scotch had two rather large swollen bumps on her nose that looked like she may have been bitten by something, but now they have both turned black. It is a scab or something worse?

Two things come to mind. 1) syphilis and 2) papilloma. Either way, your bunny should see a vet. Syphilis will require antibiotics (Pen-G injections). Papillomas can subside on their own, but they should be checked out to make sure they aren’t something else. They can be removed surgically if they are large.

Here’s some info on the diseases:

Poor bun bun, I don’t have any further suggestions to add onto what LBJ10 has mentioned. Hope the vet visit goes well and let us know the result.
