  Is it possible to use a secondhand dog exercise pen for my rabbits? I found a really nice secondhand one for a good price but my brother asked if it was safe and it made me wonder, is there a chance any traces of the dog (smell, fur, etc.) could negatively affect my rabbit in some way?
  
  Maybe if I just wash or disinfect it before I set it up for him to use? What do you guys think?

  I think it’d be perfect. You can wash it before you set it up, maybe wipe it down with vinegar and water. Vinegar and water is good for removing scents. If your bunny is wary at first about trace scent of a dog, it will very soon realize that there isn’t an actual dog.
  
  Rabbits can be afraid of dogs, that’s true, but they can get used to the presence of dogs. I have a dog and a bunny. Many of us here have dogs and rabbits in the same household.

  Sounds great. Just think about the height if there is no top to the run. If your bun is a jumper he might (he will! Lol) get out.

  Vienna makes an excellent point. You might have to put sth over the pen, like a bed-sheet or fleece blankie, depending on how high it is. Rabbits can appear clumsy, but they can jump quite high if they feel motivated.

  When I had my dog exercise pen, I just had a blanket over top of it so he couldn’t jump out
