Hobo has been coughing once every few hours. When he does it usually lasts 5-10 seconds (kind of like when you have a cold). There is no discharge coming from his nose and he seems perfectly healthy other than his coughs. I am taking one of my guinea pigs to the vet on Monday (just for a general checkup and a few problems that I assume are because of age) and I will ask the vet if I should bring him in, but I wanted to see what other people have to say. If you know anything or have experienced anything similar please let me know.

There could be something stuck in his throat that he cant get out. Make sure he keeps eating and drinking normally

Coughing isn’t normal, I agree that there could be something stuck in his throat. Definitely worth seeing the vet about it.

Thank you for replying. I am going to try to get him in when I bring Chowder (my guinea pig).
