I have two males and four females. The females get along except for one female who honks at my other females and will try attacking them, the same female will also ‘hump’ my male instead of him ‘humping’ her.. she will also somewhat spray him.. My two males are neutered I should mention and they will definitely try attacking one another for whatever reason, and will go after the females.. I equally play and take out all my rabbits as best as I can but I wish I could put them all together.. they are all out 2 hours a day and I have to separate them so the time goes by faster, I just don’t want them hurting/ killing each other.. What steps should I take as in bonding my rabbits, I try reading so many articles but I can’t seem to find one that will actually work with my situation.. Some people usually say that its because my rabbits are just “aggressive” though they are all so sweet. My other question is, should I neuter all my females? I love all my rabbits dearly and would love to put them all in a huge diy grid cage so they can all run freely together without them being all separated..

        Thanks!

You mentioned your males are both neutered, but mentioned nothing on your females. Yes, you will have to spay them before bonding. If rabbits even smell other rabbit’s hormones, it can cause them to be aggressive. Step one: stop all bonding and separate everyone into their own cages/pens. Step two: all girls spayed as soon as you can. Step three: weight at least a month (females can take up to six months) for their hormones to drain after their surgery, and to allow healing. Step 4: everyone in a small neutral area such as the bathroom; start with very short sessions, and move to longer sessions as they get more used to one another. It is possible that not all of your rabbits will get along, so i hope you are prepared for that as well

So sorry I meant to also put in that my females are not neutered at all. It is so hard to find a vet here that does it cheap. I called one local place here and they wanted $1000 just for the males..

These steps make so much more sense, it looks like you know better about rabbits than my own vet did when I neutered my males.. She said if I put my male back with his sister the next day after neutering they will be fine.. & they weren’t! it was so sad separating them after them being together for so long. I’m gonna follow your advice and look into getting my females done.

Thank you so much, you really have gave me a lot  of information that i’ve been looking for.

I would look into a new vet if i were you. Most neuters and spays dont cost over 300$, but that depends on where you live. What i know on bonding is what ive learned on this website, and through my three babies I wish you luck on your journey to finding a new and better vet!
