Are there multiple meanings to rabbit thumping? I know it can mean alarmed, but can it mean happiness? Because my rabbit has been thumping a lot more lately and I can’t find out why. We recently introduced her to a giant play room set with toys and blankets. Is it possible she’s thumping cause it’s new and unfamiliar? She doesn’t seem scared and she runs around and binkies quite a bit. Also I’m finally back to this website, I missed it quite a bit.

Thumping can also stem from excitement or happiness. The fact that she is running around and doing binkies, sounds like she is happy. Welcome back!

Thanks! That’s great to know now, I don’t have to worry about her constantly thumping.

Haha this is funny because Dorothy thumped for two days and it to me it seemed like an indignant or frustrated response to not being let out of her pen in a timely fashion. She doesn’t do it anymore.
