This is Olly, Last night Mummy decided to try and lift me up, I only let her before when I was ill, Mummy stood at the side of me and stroked me and called me a beautiful boy, she touched my nose and stroked my back again, then bent down to pick me up, I knew what she was doing and I wasn’t bothered this time, I even lifted my chest up so she could put her hand under me, she kept calling me a good boy, she had her hand under my chest then her other hand on my bottom, then started to lift me up, but she got upset, because the last time Mummy picked me up I was very ill and nearly died from GI and it brought back the memories in her mind and she thought she might hurt my tummy even though this was about a year ago, she put me back down on my blanket, how can we do this? I was looking forward to a cuddle.

        Can anyone help us please?

Awe. I think it is okay to pick him up if he is so willing. Unless he is showing signs of illness, it could be that he’s just in the mood to be picked up without any fuss. Maybe even matured over time to accept it. It can be hard to let go of the past when you have those scary memories, but you clearly care about your rabbit. You won’t hurt his tummy or cause any pain. If he lets you pick him up and love on him, I don’t see why not. That is the good stuff right there. :]
