My bun bonnibel had an emergency today! I came home from work and she managed to get out of the pen and get her toe stuck in the floor vent. I am assuming she freaked out and jumped and it pretty much skinned the toe down to the bone. I freaked out and called the vet to let them know I was coming.
We got in she said it wasn’t too bad and would need to sedate her. She did, cleaned the wound, trimmed the fur and cut off the skin that was hanging off. She then bandaged it and sent her home with pain medicine for 3 days and antibiotics for 5. Recheck Monday. She got home and after the pain meds started to kick in she seemed like nothing happened! Ate all her veggies and enjoyed the prebiotics sprinkled on them. She is currently lounging in the castle with a chew. Happy ending. I got some extra clips to better secure the pen from now on. Her and her partner are set up for spay/neuters on Oct 12!

Wow! That went really well all things considered. Continue keeping a close eye on her and make sure she takes her meds at regular hours and completely. (((full recovery, bunbun)))

Thank you! I was so scared I thought her toe was hanging off. I was prepairing to have to have it amputated. We got lucky. Though their wasnt any skin left to even suture anything closed. Poor baby. My exotics vet is amazing! The best part of the whole thing is that it only cost me $81! for an exam, sedation/surgery, pain meds and antibiotics! I was thinking it would run me at least $200.
