The vet said he did great just got him home how long does it take before he will start eating the surgery was this a.m. she said he should not be in any pain if he is not eating by tomorrow morning to call her. I am sure she is traumatized after the trip and the meds he got and being out of his area for a day. Probably take him a while to get used to being home again. I expected him to eat as soon as i got him home. He is acting fine hopping around alert just not eating.

Bunnies can have tender mouths after their dental, just like when we go to the dentist.

Did your vet give you Metacam to take home? If he’s still not eating, I would ask for some. My vet always sends pain meds for a few days afterwards.

HE is eating! I am sure the little guy was scared he went through a lot he was licking my hand on the way home i had my hand in the carrier he ate some treats and i just left him some dandelion greens he ate them all went out and bought more greens he ate some of them and he is eating his big carrot treat! its for rabbits prob full of sugar but i want him to eat. i did notice some very small droppings the last few days tiny and black and somewhat mushy she said that may be from the teeth not chewing properly keep an eye on it.  so happy he is eating she said he should not be in any pain. maybe she does not like to give out he pain meds. actually i would rather have them but she thought he would be fine. just 2 bottom molars the rest were fine.

Glad to hear it. Going in for any vet procedure can def cause stress.
