So we have a 12 week old “Female” holland lop. She has started to “buzz” when she runs around and plays. None of my other female rabbits made this sound. Is this common for females? I’ve only ever heard a male bunny do this. Is this a happy sound? Could SHE be a HE?

        TIA

My bun does it when he’s happy and is playing around or wants to greet us… so it’s a positive sound. Can’t say if females do it though! Maybe have a trip to the vet to have her checked? In case she didn’t get her coccidium test, it could be a chance to have that, trim nails, etc ^^

Muchell- Im happy to hear that its a happy sound. I don’t really mind if SHE is a HE but let’s not tell my daughter that this could be the case, lol.

Does anyone have a female that does this?

Hmmmm never heard of a female bun doing that. It’s usually sort of a pre-humping sound in my experience.
