So, I thought it would be fun to create a chat just for what naughty things your bunny did. It can be from a year ago, a week ago, even a second ago!

When I went to feed Ben pellets, I was 20 minutes late. In that 20 minutes, he knocked down his waterbottle (somehow i dont know how.) got to the plastic underneath the blanket of the flooring, and made a huge mess of the hay. I had to clean it all up
What is a naughty thing your bunnies did?

Autumn is a little joker in a furry suit, she loves to chew the furniture to get me running after her as she binkies and flaps her ears in sheer happiness because she knows she’s ben naughty

When I neatly stack the hay in the corner of the room for her she barges past and flings the hay all over the room and happily munches

This morning Bindi broke into Sterling’s pen and there was quite a little scuffle. Took a little chunk out of Sterling. Frustrating because they will spend so much time being buddies, laying side by side and all kissy nose through the bars. Bunnies…..

Ben is a little stinker. He peed, and missed the litterbox entierly.

Let’s just say: if Breintje had been a human, he would have been on several watchlists now.
His puberty didn’t really kick in until he was 2, and when it did he became unstoppable.

My home is also my atelier (is that the right word in English?): it’s filled with all the arts&crafts materials I need for my volunteer work. I make medieval costumes for a LARP club, so my tiny apartment is stacked with balls of woolen yarn, expensive fabrics and sewing accessoiries.

Breintjes puberty suddenly kicked in and he went on a rampage for several weeks, ravaging everything in sight. Nothing was safe, not even the knitting I was doing. He jumped onto the yarn while it was laying right next to me on the couch *Yuck!!* He ruined several balls of yarn and a costume that I was working on, which couldn’t be washed.

This lasted for weeks because my BF didn’t want to get him snipped. After a fierce discussion with my BF he finally agreed to the procedure. Whew, because by that time I was ready to bring Breintje back to his house…

I have never seen Ben thump. Usually when he is scared he hides in his cage, whick has a blanket over it. Ben is a big chicken.

I have a pair of flip flops that I love so much that I bought a second pair in a different color. I know I’ll eventually forget and leave them in the chew zone. It’ll happen.

Aww, thank you ^_^ I’ll find a way to post some pictures today, let’s see if I can do that somewhere without hyjacking a thread. The costumes are mostly for fantasy LARPs, so the materials and styles are mostly not period-accurate. The clothes are used to generate a medieval fantasy atmosphere. You’ll see people wearing Viking-era stuff and Renaissance dresses, all sitting around in the tavern.

Im pretty sure there is a never ending list of things my rabbits have done!

Yumi has a vendetta against my hedgehogs, they’ve never actually done anything to her and Sampras has never minded them in the slightest…So I feel it’s just her thing?
Anyway, they are in the same room together, but there’s a gate to separate them from the rabbits.
We had to make an emergency late night vet visit, as I had left one of the hedgehogs cages open. In the time it took me to bring a bowl into the kitchen, rinse it out and fill it with food, Yumi had leaped over the gate, got into the rabbit enclosure, and started attacking Cyndaquil (by jumping on her.) My hedgehog was completely unscathed and was even happy enough to poke her nose out when I came back in to see had I brought her food with me. Yumi on the other hand had a bloody nose and paws.

Sampras is always sick and we have regular vet visits (Yumi always comes along with us) On one visit there was no vet nurse in the room, so Yumi was pretty much just sniffing around on the examination table while Sampras was being seen to. He was due an injection, so I’m holding Sampras in place on the table, while the vet is preparing the sight for injection, when Yumi decides the syringe does not belong on the table. So she picks it up and flings it off the examination table. For obvious reasons, she is banished from the table by the vet. (much to her chagrin)
So she’s grunting and stamping her feet as she bops around the floor, while Sampras gets his injection. The vet is then explaining something to me , when he suddenly yelps. Yumi, has decided that the best thing to do is bite the vets ankles. I dont think she bit him hard, more just the shock of being lunged at by a floof.
(She sounds like such a beast, but she’s actually lovely-she just cannot stand being ignored.)

Sampras on the other hand has chewed through the internet cable twice, and turned one of my favorite dresses into a bed, -he decided to jump up on the couch where the laundry basket was, hopped right into the basket, and made my clothes part of the best dig box he’s ever had. Unfortunately my dress was the perfect material to really get his nails into. I was so angry, but it did look hilarious, and the damage was already done by the time I got to the scene of the crime.

He did not look one bit guilty. He flicked his feet at me in disgust when I gently removed him from my clothes(which all needed to be washed and de-fluffed)

I have a new one. Redford just casually walked in the kitchen the other day, just like always, and then casually sniffed around puppy’s bag of food, and then casually made a hole in it at the bottom corner, and then him and Roky casually helped themselves. And then, somebun had a rock hard stomach and had to have all the mummy attention and massages. Luckily it all went away in less then a day and beside that he was and is perfectly fine.

They have become a diabolical team. Bianca is mostly ignoring their mischief. But I have a video of all 3 of them stealing hay from a bag.

So as you can see I have been quite busy lately.

Odette woke us up around 3 am trying to pull down the baby gate to get to the hall and bedroom. We thought someone was breaking in. The clatter was that loud!

And in true bad horror movie fashion, we ran toward the noise. Which, I’m glad we did. Can you imagine had we called 911 and said someone was breaking in?

I think its time to put cardboard around the back room hall and bedroom baseboards and let her come sleep with us. I have bad enough sleep habits without 3 am bunny break ins.

You could always cover the baby gate with something like coroplast so she’s less likely (notice I didn’t say cannot) to pull at it.

You’d want to be an earlier riser (which I am not) if you’re going to have a bun in the bedroom (which I do…).

That’s just it…she’s really active in the early am and I am a terrible sleeper. I get up at 6 am. I will try your suggestion of covering the baby gate first, Jerseygirl. That’s a great idea, thank you.

She’s not very persistent if something gets in her way. So, that’s good. The covering should deter her for a while.

Ellie, she is still too little to jump on the bed. Face licks sound cute, but five times a night would ruin me the next day! I’m already wondering why I never took up coffee drinking because I could use the caffeine this morning.

Stinker! Another favorite of hers is hiding under our bed and in the TV console… she doesn’t even leave any droppings or urine or ever chew on anything, she just loves to hide and watch us frantically look around for her! She has also peed on the couch many times already  We have to get a waterproof cover ASAP!

I’m staying with my BF for a couple of days, and Breintje is here with me. He has free range of the bedroom here.

Breintje occassionally jumps up on the bed for some cuddles, that’s really cute. But what he did tonight, that was just gross.

This night it was very warm and appearantly I had kicked off my blankets. I found out that my inquisitive bunny was curious about the concept of the human behind. I woke up 2 times to him sniffing my rear end 0_o

I’ve learned my lesson: bringing bunny to bed for some cuddles is great, but bunnies roaming free in the bedroom = broken nights and dignity lost…

Tactic 1 – Sit near a piece of wall you want to bite. When no one’s looking lunge at it.

Tactic 2 – Sit near a piece of wall you want to bite. Move 1cm closer to the wall every 15 seconds. Eventually after a couple of minutes arrive within mouth reach of the wall and bite it.

Tactic 3 – Decide which wall you want to bite. Run at super speed around the couch/bed. At the third lap super speed run to the wall and bite it.

Tactic 4 – Just go for it. Your human is literally stood over you, but the temptation is too much. Just bite it anyway.

All of these result in extreme pleasure both at getting away with it and when he gets caught. I shout his name and he pings into the air and shakes his head. Often comes over to suck up to me and apologise by gives me bunny kisses (always works!)

Zorro rotates between these tactics. He is very cunning ninja bunny!!

He thinks that our wall paint is a more exciting snack. He just…chips on the wall… This would only happen in the room. Where we receive guests, of course, nothing but maximum exposure for his little artistic heart.

Chito ate the buttons on an entire remote, stole sugar cookies from the tin (no more cookie tins in his reach), ate bits of my dad’s favourite leather shoes (actually, he made a rather neat scallop accent) and my mum’s 13 years old heirloom bag, ate my girlfriend’s visiting sister’s expensive earphones, drank tea from her cup on the very same day (she doesn’t come around anymore), and oh, halfway nibbled through a cord that led to a plugged stabiliser (the core was almost exposed- I felt like I had a heart attack that day, we’re sure that the area was bunnyproofed enough) ….

I shout his name and he pings into the air and shakes his head. Often comes over to suck up to me and apologise by gives me bunny kisses (always works!)

I’m not sure this is a ‘naughty’ thing though. I mean wallpaper in general (and in particular THIS wallpaper) is SO out of fashion these days. I like to think Patton is style-conscientious  and just trying to help. You see he didn’t much like the wallpaper in our upstairs bathroom this morning.

Our couch is against a wall. We use the outlet behind the couch to charge our phones because Odette couldn’t climb on the couch.

Then she learned and we weren’t smart enough to move our phones.

She’s chewed through two pairs of earbuds and a charger. Graciously I unplug the charger at night, so the charger is gone, but she’s fine.

This isn’t naughty, but kind of cute. My mom bunnysat Odette. While we were gone, Odette sat in her cage and stared at mom “like a tiny water buffalo” (mom’s words). She was mad that I was gone at an irregular time apparently. Odette and I are creatures of habit. Now mom calls Odette her little water buffalo.

Edited to add: I’m pretty sure my avatar is exactly how Odette’s water buffalo stance looks

So much so, they chewed up nearly half of our kitchen floor. So we had to tear up the rest and leave the unfinished bare wood planks. It’s ugly as sin. But they don’t eat the floor anymore! Sadly we’re too broke at the moment to put down anything sturdier, so our kitchen is ugly for now. :/

While we’re at toilet humour anyway, Breintje got me off one of my bad habits. I sometimes used to leave the door open a crack when I used the bathroom, never again… You see, my house has a bit of a strange layout. The previous resident boarded up the door between bedroom and living room to create some precious wall space. Now you have to go through the bathroom/shower to reach the bedroom. Once upon a time I had seated myself upon the porcelain throne, and then I heard the scrabbling of tiny feet. Breintje sprinted through the bathroom straight into my bedroom. Headed for the large space under our large double bed. Luckily he got the message when I started to yell at him. I din’t have to get out the broomstick to chase him away from underneath the bed this time.

She was doing her own thing all morning as I was preparing for work, but all of a sudden when it was time to leave I grabbed my things, and she followed me happily back to the front door where my shoes were. She then laid down right in front of the shoes, on the rug and watched me happily as I tried to put on a shoe without looking inside.. of course there was a nice little doo doo surprise in there! She just watched me as I dumped out her mess and cleaned it up, and I’m sure she was laughing inside. Little stinker!

For the cat-owners among us, it really reminded me of this:

I had just taken a shower and walked back into the living room. He quickly jumped off the window sill while still chewing on some basil leaves.

The look in his eyes said: “Oh, hi, you’re back early. I haven’t been fed in half an hour. I thought I would starve so I just helped myself.”

So now everytime Im sortin anything out in the pen that requires me to remove the lid, both jump out.
And dart off in separate ways, and I have to make a choice; do I chase the chewer, or do I chase the pee-er.

                                                                                                                              Either way, I lose.

                                                                                                                              I swear its a conspiracy!

Annie’s been a pretty good bun the 2 weeks she’s been with me, but she definitely has a naughty streak. She loves to test her limits, so she’ll stretch out, just on the edge of the closet she can’t touch, as if to say “Well, I’m not really in it, am I?”

Also, she’s banned from beds because she likes to mess them, and when we aren’t paying quite close enough attention, she’ll stand on two feet, peer at the bed, literally glance at us, and then hop up, which always brings us running.

And, finally, she is fascinated when people lie down flat on the floor.  She loves to climb on us and poop on us. And attempt to eat hair. Which she doesn’t like, but tries anyway.

Is this kinda stuff normal? She seems wildly intelligent, but I’m not sure if she is, or I’m anthropomorphising her a little to much. She always seems to know when she’s pushing the limits, and does it deliberately. Which is adorable and frustrating, and always makes me laugh, I won’t lie.

Breintje knows exactly when he’s being watched, and temporarily pauses his mischief when you say his name. He freezes, and as soon as you look the other way… Nom!

So we are gradually discovering his mischievous ways. For the last month, he didn’t touch anything but wood. He is a serious wood fan though, and trying hard to childproof all wooden edges by making them rounder (fortunately, it is old well-worn kid furniture in the room he resides in, so I’m not worried). My daughter left a sheet on the floor during the day while we were all at work/school. When I washed the sheet yesterday and held it up to fold it, I discovered some really remarkable bunny sculpting. Head sized holes all strategically placed like he was trying to tunnel or something. I wish I had taken a picture before throwing it away. Amazingly, he has not pooped or peed or chewed anything on her bed at all, but we’ll see how long that lasts.
