              How cute are they?!!

I love that faint shading across his toes, so cute. His colouring is himilayan. He has that little bit of longer fur on top of his head – so possible he has some lionhead in him. But the length of it reminds me of what some lops have too.

Daisy has a bit of a mini rex cross look about her.

              Do you know their weight?

Oh goodness, how sweet are they?

I agree, Mr Bun appears to be a mix of Himalayan and lionhead. Daisy is a doll! But figuring out what she is will be a little more difficult. She isn’t a dwarf, but she looks small. Probably a mix of smaller breeds. She may need to grow more before any distinguishing characteristics reveal themselves.

You guys are great! I’ve never even heard of the Himalayan before! Mr bun is a little over 5 pounds as of the end of July. And daisy is right around 3 pounds, possible more since we haven’t weighed her in a few weeks. Both were rescues (daisy was from an awful pet store that was staffed by kids) so we never really knew anything about them. We’ve had bun since he was 5 weeks old and the people only knew who the mom was not the dad. Nice to finally get some idea!!

oh my gosh guys I’m sure you have all been there but this is the first time for me- I am having such a proud mommy moment!! I just looked up the breeds you mentioned and am SO happy you guys were able to narrow it down! I agree with the Himalayan 100% for bun and he matches the behavior description of being super laid back. one article even said there fur will change colors depending on temperature, have you all ever heard that? I have never seen his do that but he really isn’t ever near anything extreme in temperature. and daisy does match the body type for the mini rex. I’ve always heard rabbits are fully grown around 6 months which if true would put daisy right on track for the size of the mini rex too since she is around 5 months and sitting around 3 pounds.

I am literally sitting at my desk beaming with bunny pride! whenever I talk about my kids at work nobody understands how amazing a bun’s love is so i’ll just sit and smile and know that there’s a community of bunny lovers here at binky bunny that understand this feeling!!!!!

The fur colour change with temperature will be a gradual thing with seasons. You may not notice it much keeping them indoors, but generally the markers will be darker in colder months, and lighter in warmer months. I believe it’s the same reasoning dalmations are born pure white. Because they’ve been completely surrounded by their mother’s body heat, the markings haven’t come in. But after they’re born the spots slowly come in over a number of weeks because they’re outer body temperature has cooled
