        Hey, it’s me again.

So, I bought Sorvete some treats to help him keep those teeth under control and my bed still standing, as far as I know the first ingredient is alfafa, but the second might as well be diamonds, that thing is hard enough that I think it can be used as a bullet. Sorvete seems pretty content chowing that down, even though I have to hold it for him because it’s so hard it keeps slipping away from him, but he uses so much strength that I can’t help but wince at the thought of him breaking his teeth and I fear for my fingers more and more as the treat gets smaller.

I know they have very strong teeth, am I worrying too much? Thanks in advance!

Odette has an Alfalfa based chew and I worry more that she’ll bite her foot while trying to hold the chew. I hold hers too. I broke one in half to place inside a chew ball and that was difficult to break. But, the hardness helps wear down their teeth. I don’t like them at all, but she loves them.

I think the hardness is less of an issue that the difficulty in grip.

She has no trouble with applewood sticks. You might try those or Willow balls for chew toys.

Rabbits like stationary things to chew on (for this very reason!). So your bed posts or baseboards are probably very tempting. And hard too! Are you able to fashion a chew so it’s stationary and can’t move?

There’s a willow cube that Leopold throws around. I wouldn’t call it stationary.

I suggest a log of apple wood (or beech or birch or maple or pine). Avoid all types of plum/cherry wood.

Yes Bam! Something with some weight to it.
