Can my bunny be alone from 10am Sunday to 7pm Monday? Or do I have to drop him off at the bun sitter?

If it’s necessary, yes it can. Provide enough food and water. If you have a camera to monitor it via internet and if you have someone to rely on to send him/her in case of emergency – there is no problem.

I used skype auto pick up function and video calls to monitor Whitesnowy remotely when I wasn’t at home during the day.

I also have a bunnycam set up at home, only problem is mine are free range now so sometimes I cant see them, like right now.. theyre hiding so here’s a pic from this morning

As I am writing I just got a notification to say something had moved, It was Little Red – Heading for the food bowl – Surprise Surprise!

At first I was worried how it would work but now I use it all the time, even whilst i’m at work (certainly makes me smile on a crappy afternoon). Puts my mind at ease if I go out for the day or if I spend the night away from home

Yes, just make a big pile of hay. I generally make two: one from regular hay and one from a special hay they really love and seldom have because it’s expensive, like second crop or crau hay (that way, they kinda gain something from me being gone ^^), and I put their normal ration of vegetables (with some extra leafy greens for hydratation). It always went very well. Honestly, when I started leaving for business trips I was scared of leaving my rabbits alone and had a petsitter come twice a day even when I only left for 24h. But in the end, one of them broke my door’s lock and couldn’t enter the house and I realized my rabbits where actually more stressed out by having someone they didn’t know come for two minutes and give them food than by staying alone (especially since Aki can’t see anymore – she was always wary of strangers but it’s worse now). Also, I’m always worried the petsitter will forget to close the door of the rabbits’ room when leaving.
I read a lot that you needed to have someone come because when a rabbit is ill their state can deteriorate very quickly. While it is true, that means you need a petsitter who will notice your rabbit isn’t feeling well, is able to grab the bunny without injuring them and will think to bring them to the vet. I haven’t found anyone that reliable. So, when I leave for more than 36 hours I take a petsitter (I prepare everything in advance, even the vegetables, and give a very detailed care sheet – I think most of the women I employ think I’m deranged) but when it’s less than that, I leave the rabbits alone. I don’t really like it, but I think it’s what works the best for us. I wish I had a better phone to do the bunnycam thing, though, that’s really cool ^^

I don’t like leaving them alone, even for one night. If I’m leaving at 7pm and returning at about 9am the next morning, that’s ok because it’s kind of just like going to bed early and getting up later. However I’ve had two scares from overnight trips. The first time I had planned a single night camping trip, I was all prepared to go but the morning I was going to leave, I felt really ill so cancelled my trip. Just as well I did because later that day Bandit went into quite a severe bout of stasis and I doubt he would have survived if I hadn’t been there, since from when it started it would have been more than 24 hours before I was home. The next example is more recent, with Apollo and Luna, they were both up on the second level of their condo and had pushed their hiding box around so that it ended up falling into the stair well and blocked their access downstairs which is where their litter tray, hay and water is. Who knows how long it had been like that when my friend arrived to check up on them, but ending up without food or water for 24 hours would not have been good. So for me, I would never do it unless I had a camera on them 24/7 AND the ability to get home quickly. Which in most cases when you’re away, you don’t.
