Oliver the cat and Mariposa the rabbit have been living together for about a month now. She is way too big for a cage, and with a little bunny proofing, I was happy to let her free anyway. She’s on her own and isn’t used to that, but so far its been going well. Both Oliver and Mariposa get along well with Credit the dog. And they are never overly nasty to each other. But when Mariposa comes close to Oliver he bays at her (softly, claws in) and kinds of scolds her. When he comes close to her, she grunts and lunges (she never chases, boxes, or tries to bite). I can leave them alone and they seem fine if they stay out of each other’s ways, but is there anything I can do to help them get along a little better? do far I’ve set up a daily routine of feeding them at the same time and sitting down with them and giving them treats together. Is there anything else I couId be doing?
