On Monday I said goodbye to my sweet little girl, Savana. She was 10 years old. She stopped eating and we brought her to the vet. They weren’t sure what was wrong with her but she started getting fatty liver disease from not eating. She stayed at the vet on IVs and meds for 6 days. After several blood tests and xrays, nothing conclusive came of it but she started eating a bit so they let her go home. She was home with me for 4 days, during which time she barely ate anything. It was impossible to force feed her, despite my efforts. She was weak and there was nothing else that could be done. I made the decision and she left this world in my arms, purring….

I’m going to miss her so much. She was my little kitten. We called her “the kitten” because we got her as a kitten and she just stayed small. She was tiny and so beautiful with her little spots and stripes. She was kind of a strange cat and was only fond of me and didn’t like my husband at all despite all our past cats being madly in love with him. She was my cat. And after having as many as 5 cats at one time, she was our last one. Now the house feels so sad and empty. Especially downstairs which was her territory. I haven’t been without a cat since I was 3 years old, over 30 years.

I will miss her purring and how she was always happy to see me. And the little “brrr” noise she used to make when I woke her up.

        Goodbye, beautiful…..Until we meet again.

I am so sorry. I had to let mine girl Dita go a few months ago. I was thinking about getting another but then my bunny Bella came into my life and I have been better. I wish you the best.

i am so sorry LPT! She lived a long life. She was a beautiful cat, looks like my grandmas neigbours cats child, They named him Tiger. She knew she was loved. She went in your arms, which is the place she would have wanted to be in at her last moments. Hope your eating catnip on rainbow bridge. <3

Awww no I’m so very sorry for your loss. She was such a beautiful girl. I understand the strangeness of the absence of cats, I grew up with them and when we lost Sparks a few years ago, it was the first time I’d been without a cat for around 24 years. Such an absence and void in the every day goings on and I look forward to the day when I can have a cat again I can tell Savana was very much loved. My heart goes out to you.

Stephanie – I am so very, very sorry.

Yes, the little ‘bbbrrr’ noise….so cute. It must be the equivalent of our sleepy “grmmmrg ‘already time to wake up’ !?!” when the alarm goes off.

When you feel ready another kitty WILL sneak into your life – they have a way of doing that, whether you want to or not ! Love and hugs to the other furbabies.

The “bbbrrr” noise has to be one of the cutest things Our first two cats didn’t really make it, but Sparks made it all the time. So sweet

                        Oh, Stephanie, I’m so sorry.
At least she felt your love for her up until her last moments.

Poor little Savana. she was loved and that’s all they ask for, LPT. she sounded like a very sweet cat. I’m very sorry for your loss. At least you got the closer of holding her and saying goodbye. Its all an animal parent wants when its time, to hold them that one last time.

Sleep well, beautiful little Savana. Hope you’re enjoying those treats and toys on the rainbow bridge.

I hope she is playing with Tooey right now at the Bridge. It is so hard to say goodbye to them isn’t it?

Sleep well and sweet dreams, Savana. Watch over your mom from the Rainbow. Sending you ((((((((Huge hugs))))))))) Stephanie. xx
