Hi! Im new to this site and having bunnies. I went through and read pretty near all the bunny info articles then decided to join and introduce my bunnies.
My son got me interested in them after refusing to leave any pet store he found bunnies at until he got to hold one. I did some reading on and off for a few months before seeing an ad for some mini rex babies.
End of May we picked up 2. Of course they were male and female. With more reading quickly decided they wouldnt be okay together until they were fixed. Not wanting them to be lonely, I got two dutch bunnies in June. Thankfully everyone gets along.
        So my girls are
Aspen my mini rex. She is a sweety and loves to cuddle. Pickle my black and white dutch. She’s a bit skittish but once I sit down she will come over and crawl on my legs or put her head beside Aspen to get pets.
Boys are Diesel the mini rex. He’s pretty laid back and loves to be pet as well. Last but not least Sam my grey and white dutch. He sometimes likes to be pet, sometimes not. He will walk over my legs, sniff me out then go nibble some food.
Im pretty quiet so Ill mostly just be reading post and asking questions when I need too.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hi and welcome to Binky Bunny! It sounds like you are keeping the 2 males together and the 2 females together. Very young bunnies can be bonded and will be fine together, but as soon as they are a few months of age and hit puberty, you will likely have to separate them until they can all be spayed and neutered, with a few weeks passing before you can re-bond them. When the hormones come flooding in, they can bring aggression and that can lead to fighting and severe injuries.

Thanks! I didnt plan to have 4 but oh well. I do have pictures. I will try to upload but I live in the country and sometimes my service isnt good enough.
Aspen and Diesel will be 6 months old in October. Pickle and Sam will be 6 months old in November. They will be fixed then. I definitely want them to be happy and healthy. I will be in contact with my vet in the next month to make sure they will be good to be done then.

Hi there and welcome to the forum. It certainly sounds like you have your hands full! In regards to age for spay/neuter, boys can be neutered whenever their bits have dropped, females they tend to like to wait a little longer since it’s an invasive surgery, unlike for the boys.
