        Hi everyone,

I’ve read that for 2 bunnies to be introduced to each other requires a neutral territory. Unfortunately, I don’t have a bath tub.

I’m wondering if I were to thoroughly clean and sterilise the rabbit’s cage (with soap, alcohol wipes, and scent removers) can it be considered a neutral territory since the scent are removed?

Not entirely. The rabbit can still know it was theirs even with scents removed, causing it not to be neutral. However, you arnt out of luck! Do you have a box or tote thats big enough for the bunnies to sit and lay down, but not big enough for them to fight? If so, you can take that tote/box into the bathroom (or any room neither bunny has ever been into) and put them in that. If they try to fight, wiggle it a bit to hopefully make them stop; if they dont stop, you can use a dust pan or thick glove to separate them until they calm down

I have found that a good way to bond bunnies is in an x-pen, with you and possibly another person in there with you. Even if the pen is in a room that isn’t neutral to one or both of the bunnies, the pen itself is new and neutral. When you are in there with them, you can try to calm a bunny that may be frightened, or you can break up any fights if the mild scuffling (which is normal) escalates into fighting. The x-pen can be used later on to house the bunnies or to attach to a cage for more room for them.

I had no neutral territory when i bonded my boys, Bramble had been everywhere in the house that was suitable for a bunny to go. So what I did was put the pen in the hall (bramble used to get his free roam time exclusively in the hall which is huge when he was a baby but was spending 99% of his time in the living room by that point so as neutral a space as I had) with a brand new blanket that neither of them had seen before as flooring. It worked for us, maybe something like that could work for you?
