Is this suitable for eating or just bedding?

I saw this in Asda and grabbed a pack because my usual food delivery was cocked up. It is hay, not straw, but the pack describes it as bedding not food.

Is this product ok to put in their food tray or should I just use it for bedding?

I would say just for bedding. If your bun wants to eat it he will.

I agree with Ben. It’s probably not as nutritious as good hay needs to be to sustain a bunny. But most likely safe to eat and a nice addition of fiber and good for digging in. If you’re not planning on feeding it long term as an only food source, I think it will do. It might not be yummy enough to eat or it might be extra yummy, you never know with bunnies. After all, many bunnies readily eat cardboard.
