My bunny is a very exited rabbit. Whenever we come into the room he will get exited. But when I went to the basement to check on him he was acting very aggressive. Whenever I put my hand in The cage he would run to it and nip me making a honk sound and he was running around his Xpen. So I gave him a carrot and hopefully he will calm down. Any explanation to this?

Honking is usually happiness but can also be sexual aggression. Once you have Ben neutered that will most likely stop if it is aggression. Odette honks when she runs around. I think it’s cute! Probably Ben is telling you thank you for his new X-pen and taking such good care of him.

Are you sure it was not a growl?

Growls are a bit louder and longer than honks
