        Hi there,

I have a 4 year old female rabbit, a lionhead/lop. She is a housebound rabbit, and is free to roam the house and get on the sofa and basically everywhere she desires. She’s really friendly, and allows anyone to pet her and hold her. She even follows my family members around the house, but sometimes it gets a little too crazy…

She can get really clingy, meaning that she will follow you around the house and walk right between your feet. Thankfully no one has stepped on her in my household (6 people) but we are concerned it might happen someday. Also, if anyone is sitting on the sofa, she will jump up and DEMAND to be petted. That said, she will come right up to you, make these little honking noises, and keep grooming you until the point that it gets a little annoying! Sometimes when she really wants something, she even digs on you and nips a bit.

I’ve been trying to correct the digging behaviour, but it seems to be something she cant overcome… also, the whole clingyness thing.

Is there any way I can cure this behaviour? I will also add that she is not spayed.

        Thanks!

Some of this may be hormonal, so spaying would solve that portion of it. Has she always been this way or is this a sudden change?
