Hi! I am a first time owner and I’ve had my bunny Chase for a little under a week. I am pretty sure I got him litter trained I haven’t seen droppings anywhere else, only the occasional one or two close to the box. I want to change some of the flooring in his home so it is not all bedding. What type of flooring would you suggest be best? And I am having a hard time figuring out how I would make the flooring stay to the bottom of the cage, (if there is any way to do that). One more question, once I would change the flooring from bedding to some type of fabric, how often do you clean the habitat, or do you just clean and change the litter box and then just tidy up the rest of the home?

        Thank you!

I use towels and blankets for my bunny, and have to change it out every other day. She’s not litter trained, so if you used towels and blankets you would only have to change it if they went on them, but other than that my bunny finds it comfy and soft. If anything they will try to dig it up, but it’s easy to tidy it. I would suggest trying to clean out the litterbox everyday so it doesn’t get stained or become stinky. And of course, you don’t have to change the bedding. Just some suggestions. : )

Thank you! I think I am going to get a fleece blanket and lay it about 3/4 of the cage and then where the litter box is I will have some bedding there, sometimes when he jumps out he will fling poop out with him!
