Hi guys I’m new to this forum and am a new mum
To the most beautiful continental giant! He’s
10 months old and moulting but this morning when
I came in to give him his breakfast I noticed a dark
Patch of very short hair on his back. Should I be worried
About this or is it something that happens when moulting?
        Thank you ?

Hi and welcome to Binky Bunny! Fur color and patterns can change after molting, so I wouldn’t think this is anything to worry about.

Bunnies can look really messy during molt: patches in different colours or lengths, tufts of fur sticking out in weird places. My Breintje has a coat which is more greyish-brown in the winter and more reddish in summer. Sometimes they get terribly ticklish during molt, so grooming can be an issue. Gentle burishing or petting the rabbit while *softly!* picking out the loose hairs can help.

Bunny hair is very light and the fluff will become airbourne, ending up even in your cup of tea or dinner. The lint roller is your friend in these times: remove loose hair lying on furniture as soon as you can, to prevent the fur from flying everywhere.
