We’re going to be away for a little over a week. We’ve arranged for a neighbor boy to come over twice a day to take care of Timber. He’s pretty excited, and I think he’ll do a great job. He has hamsters at home and he’s been over a lot around Timber. So he knows what he’s getting into. Timber seems to like him as well as the rest of us. We’ve talked everything over and I’ve left a reminder list with phone numbers. I’m going to make separate baggies of greens for each day (although they might not be great towards the end) and everything else is ready.

I’m still a bit nervous! I wouldn’t want anything to happen to Timber, and I wouldn’t want our sitter to have to deal any problems, either.

From personal experience I would bag up his pellets for each day to in order to ensure his diet stays the same ( I had a bunny boarder grossly overfeed Theo and we’re still suffering the consequences of that a month later)
I’m sure you’ve got it covered but leave a list of signs he might be unwell i.e. not eating/pooping, hunched, less active etc and what he should do in those situations – emergency vet number etc.

Yeah I left a list with all info. I didn’t parse out the pellets but we talked about why we don’t feed more than the scoop. I did make salad baggies in the fridge.

I saw Timber with a Lego in his mouth last night. I was afraid we’d be leaving right when he’d have problems with that. However, I think we found the piece he had in his mouth.
