So. Im taking care of a dwarf bunny for a couple months while my neighbor is moving. I got him yesterday. The thing is, all he wants to do is hump me. He has not been neutered btw. I asked the owner about it and they said that he only does it to certain people and that i should just put him is his cage when he does it. i do that but i want the bunny to have a little freedom so i let him out a lot. But the humping is literally non stop all day. Ive tried giving him stuffed animals to hump but he doesnt use them. and what im about to say my sound extremely stupid… do bunnies know when someone is on there period. Could the fact that im on my period be a reason hes non stop trying to hump my arm/leg?

Unneutered rabbits can hump obsessively. It can be brought on by stress like f ex when being rehomed, and it is exhausting for their whole system. Put him back in his cage. Make sure he has a hidey-house (an upside-down cardboard box with one door-hole on each side will do fine) so he has somewhere to withdraw to, that reduces stress to some extent. Talk to the owner about neutering. He’s probably not influenced by your period since the reproductive cycle of rabbits works in a very different way.

I’m moving this thread to the behavior-section.
