So my rabbit randomly stopped eating. He was denying his pellets (which he NEVER does) he was denying any form of treat again which he never does. He was really mellow not really moving so I was so scared I took him to the vet. 500 dollars later she gave me meds for him and a treatment to push along his stomach (there was some sort of blockage) and she also gave me this food then you add water and give it to him but he’s not eating it! I’m literally holding him down and he won’t! I’m so nervous anyone has any suggestions???

Oh Im sorry to hear. It’s a stressful time for a bunny owner. This video might help with the assisted feeding. The vet tech has them up on a table so their feet are all on stable surface. I think this help them feel more secure.

Do you know when your rabbit last toileted?

Thanks so much! I actually figured out a way, I kept him in his cage and just put it in his face and he would push it away with his teeth and I would shoot some in there! He then eventually kind of ate some, but after a couple refills he wasn’t having it lol he pooped a bunch of times today and ate alittle hay! Hopefully all will be well soon! Figured crossed. Also another question since he’s been pooping a lot do you think I should continue the medicine that makes him go? Thanks!

Haha well done. We often have to try outsmart our bunnies.
Good to hear he is pooping. Personally I would stop on the motility medicine (is it reglan? aka metaclopromide). You’ll then have some aside if he deterioates. You can always ring the clinic to find out what they advise on that, since he was just seen.
