I adopted a shelter rabbit and he is very sweet. He does however chew only things that I dont feel are good for him. He will pull in the fabric that goes arround the base of his pen to protect the flooring. He chews and I don’t see a mess from it so I assume that he is eating it. I also I am getting a cassorole dish because he eats the plastic of his litter box. I have tried to give him as many other options as I can but he only seems to eat the things that I dont want him to. Any help would be fantastic!!

        Thanks

No eating carpet it can cause stasis because synthetic fibers do not digest and clog their system. Almost lost a bunny to carpet induced stasis. Spray with an anti chew compound like Yuk you can get from the pet store. It is very bitter…animals hate the taste.

What alternatives have you tried? Chito used to nibble on our walls and door trimmings until he gets a Timothy mat.. He also loves cardboard pieces. I make them in squares that he could sit on and rip to pieces.

I have given him the hanging chews, cardboard rolls, various wood and loofa chews, and a tunnel made of alfalfa(i think it has been a little while). I also changed him into a very large pen to see if he was just bored. I am worried beccause now I am moving into an appartment and he will need to be in a smaller pen and I want him to have more time out but can’t dammage anything in the room. instead of anything so far he prefers fabric, pllastic, and the metal bars on his pen. I will have to see about a timothy mat!
