My bunny Ace has been laying all stretched out lately which I initially thought was a good thing but she’s been laying with her head on the ground. I read this is not normal for bunnies to lay with their head on the ground and could be a sign of illness. Could this mean something is wrong? If so does anyone have any experience with their bunny laying like this? Thanks!

it’s not abnormal for a perfectly relaxed bun to put it it’s head on the ground. My Yohio does that.
Is your bunny eating and pooping? If she is, I think she’s just very relaxed and at ease when she’s lying like that.

Both of mine do it, Red is an outgoing bun who will put his head down and close his eyes to sleep.
Cinders is a shy & Nervous bun who will put her head down but never closes her eyes

My Molly has done this ever since we got her – she always puts her head down when she’s super relaxed. I heard that as a general rule, the harder it is for them to get up from their ‘chill’ position, the more relaxed they are (as they’re prey animals and used to being ready to run all the time). This means you’ve created a good environment where your bun feels safe and also that they are relaxed around you
