I found that my rabbit had babies and ripped a pillow open for the stuffing. I found 2 baby rabbits tangle in them with there legs knotted off. I removed them and the foot was cold and purple. They soon got warm but are now swollen and blood bruised. They can move the top of the leg but not the bottom it has been and hour so far. Please I want them to survive with working back legs!

I’m sorry to hear this. I’m not certain anyone here would know what to do in this situation. I’d like to be proven wrong! It just sounds like this need veterinary attention.

Definitely need a vet. If they cant move their toes, its possible they might be too late to save (read: amputation). If they can move their toes and feet, they need anti inflammatory meds to help with the swelling and pain

Get them to a vet ASAP! If the knots lasted for more than a couple of minutes there may be major tissue damage.

In nearly all animal species (including us humans), tissue damage and cell death occurs within several minutes if circulation is cut off completely. Cell death can lead to necrosis, and the loss of limbs. The toxins released by massive cell death are also a large threat to the body, they lead to poisoning. This is why tourniquets are not used anymore except for in extreme emergencies: loosening a tourniquet after it has been on for a while flood the body with toxins.

I agree that they need to see a vet. As Ellie has mentioned, releasing the circulation after it has been cut off for who knows how long can send toxins throughout the body which could kill them. A vet is really the only option here. While that may not be the case, there’s still a chance that their legs will never work. In which case the tissue may still die and will need to be removed anyway or the bunnies put to sleep if it’s in their best interest.
