Truffles, a little baby bunny of my sister’s, suffered a parasite. We called it head tilt, and it was the saddest thing I ever saw. We kept Truffles in a small box with spinach and water. She/he seemed to be getting better! We were so happy! We went to bed that night, thinking that Truffles would awake with us, but my sister woke up devastated to see that baby bunny she had gotten for her birthday, laying still.

I’m so sorry. That was very sad. I saw a picture of truffles that your sister (I’m assuming Reesebun is your sister) posted in the picture-thread. Such a cute little baby.
Baby bunnies can be very fragile. Did a vet say truffles had a parasite that caused head-tilt?
          Binky Free, beautiful little truffles.

Yes, very sad Binkyboo – so sorry. Truffles was surrounded by love at the end – thats what counts.
Hope you can open your hearts and home to another lucky bunny when you feel ready.

I’m so sorry for your loss of your sweet Truffles. Truffles was an adorable little bun, and she was obviously very loved.

bam: It was a parasite in her nervous system that caused her to be very unbalanced and have nystagmus.

I had to give it 2 different types of medicine, one of them 2 times per day

I’m sorry Truffles didn’t make it in spite of your efforts. The parasite would’ve been e cuniculi. The meds don’t always help.
