I play music all the time and my bun has always seemed indifferent, but today I downloaded a new game that uses friendly classical piano songs. He seemed to really like it!! He would be all stretched out relaxeeed and as soon as the music stopped, he’d pop up alert. When it started up again, he’d lay back down I think I’m going to leave pandora piano on for him during the day now haha

Does your bunny respond to music?

Huh. Classical was the only time I saw one of my bunnies react also. My little Maple (RIP) perked up and ran around. It was just a one off occasion though. Interesting…

My bunny likes a bit of 70’s disco, but he likes relaxation music and he likes this sort of music.

My bunny does not like live music. She freaks and runs away when my sister plays her instrument, and sits there looking freaked out when I play mine.

My Bluey likes classical because he can run laps to the rhythm, or sprawl and sleep to the softer beats. Badger likes techno and electronica. He will explore my laptop trying to figure out where the music is coming from, then run around and binky. My Bombur, well, he loves screamo. Hes a naturally shy and angry bunny, but if you put screamo on, he will stop his aggression, sprawl, and relax

my rabbit likes watching me game, he’ll sit by my side and look up at the screen, the explosions don’t seem to scare him or anything. If that makes any sense, sorry if this doesn’t pertain to the subject. I have an odd rabbit.

No it does make sense! Mine is afraid of tv explosions. If I’m watching like Black List or something he has to go cower every time guns or explosions happen. That’s really great yours doesn’t respond to them haha

My Chom does NOT like music. If he’s flopping and I turn on music he’ll bolt upright, looking startled. However, he does seem to like podcasts and will stretch out while I put one on. Picky little bun!

My old cat Twinkers loved bag pipes and it would always get her butt swaying. She passed at nearly 24 yrs old. The bunnies do not really care for music. They like cartoons and animation.

I swear: my bun can tell different genres of metal apart. We often listen to folk metal (very melodic metal with folky instruments and choir chants), and the bun doesn’t mind at all. He’s relaxed and doing his best loaf-impression. Melodic death metal or power metal, totally fine as long as it’s not too loud. However, as soon as I put on thrash metal he gets grumpy and hides in his box. Thrash metal is not very melodic, but heavy on bass and with a fast rythm. Breintje will wait it out from inside his hiding box, and pops out again as soon as I put on something else. The little grumpmonster..

It’s actually quite understandable that buns don’t like live performances. The high pitched whistles from the crowd can make them nervous. Our bun gets nervous around little kids because of this. With every squeal he tenses up.

HAH! Gotta bend to his inner sensitive metal side

I put on smooth jazz or classical for the trouble trio. I told my mom that the rabbits were listening to smooth jazz and she thought it was hilarious. I actually have a video on my instagram. (Hope it’s okay to post it here.)

Tell your mom that playing your video on a loop a couple of times summoned my bun from his den and all the way to the couch xD I guess he likes jazz then?

Smooth jazz is the best, so I don’t blame him.

I think this is the first time he listened to it, cause I don’t usually listen to jazz… oh well, I’ll remember to play it sometimes from now on XD he does bear with me all the time, he deserves it.

Apart from this experiment, my bun’s faves are Rammstein & pop music; he hates electronic music like dubstep, techno, etc.
In general, he enjoys also tv programs where there’s a lot of talking (guess he’s used to my endless skype calling while gaming/working).

Shame I didn’t have a video camera to film my bunny, I was listening to ACDC Back inBlack and it looked like he was head banging.

How funny! My bun seems to enjoy all kids of music. Haven’t tried metal or anything, but I play a lot of 60s-90s and reggae, and he always seems very relaxed whenever it’s on. I’ll occasionally leave some music on for him when I leave the house
