So last Monday almost exactly a week ago I took my new bunny Nala to the vet since she had been sneezing a lot. Long story short the vet said she definitely has discharge from her eyes and nose. But she can’t hear anything in her lungs and she has no other symptoms besides the discharge and sneezing. So she prescribed antibiotics. I forget the name. And if that doesn’t help then we will go to more extreme measures of a culture and x-rays. I’m not made of money but I will Forsure do any possible thing I can for her. So I wanna take steps at home. As of right now. She is getting her daily hay and pellets along with her antibiotics and bene bac mixed in with her water. My question is will critical care benefit her too?

I’m sorry Nala isn’t well. Critical Care could benefit her if she’s not eating like she should, it is a “super-food” for buns and will give her everything she needs including pre-biotics that help the good intestinal bacteria and the bacteria in the benebac thrive.

But if she’s eating her food like a good girl, I don’t think CC will do much good. Most bunnies won’t eat it on their own, and syringe-feeding a bunny is stressful and should only be done when it’s necessary, ie when the bun won’t eat willingly.

I’m going through the same at the moment, I adopted Red a few weeks ago and he has always had a runny nose (Clear not white), no fluid in lungs & no weepy eye (he only has one).

He’s had Antibiotics (3 injections over 12 days) which didn’t do anything, he’s currently on Metacam/ Loxicom which isn’t doing anything either. He’s booked in for scan on Wednesday, terrified of what they may find.

On the whole it doesn’t seem to bother him too much, he has sneezing fits but he’s such a happy little chap.

Good luck with finding out what is causing your bunny woes, I will update my thread when I find out what is wrong with Little Red x
