Do you house them in the same room together? I have been contemplating adding a third bun to my bonded pair, but I do not want to risk breaking up my pair and potentially having three single rabbits because of limited space. However, in about a years time I will be moving and will be able to house another bunny condo for a potential new pair. I am afraid of territorial issues with housing separate pairs in the same room, should I just give them each their own space? I will have the money and time to adopt more rabbits and I would like to have at least 4, even if they are not all bonded together as a quartet. Advice?

I’m not sure how much help this will be but I have two pairs of bonded bunnies. I keep them in the same room but in different cages. Whilst one pair is running in my bunny room the other are in their cage and vice versa.

They are very happy this way and I also have their cage raised so that they can’t argue or see each other whilst running around.

Before deciding if you should add a third bun I would suggest thinking about the behavior and personality of the buns you would be bonding. Then if ou dcide to bond I would recommend meeting the new bunny first to see if he or she would bond nicely.

          Hope this helped,
          Emmy
