        Hey all!

Sorry I haven’t been on much lately, been busy with work, life. Yesterday I was laying on my couch with Cinder when I notice she has a pink lump on the underside of her foot. The hair has receded, and it seems like it might be sore hocks. She still runs and jumps with no pain that I can tell. She eats, drinks, and poops no problem so she isn’t shying away from her food. I think she takes that part from her dad, though hahah.

Right at the back of the hock where the “heel” is, there will often be a small bare pink patch that has a bit of a callous, which is completely normal. Otherwise, if it looks red and inflamed, you said there’s a lump, then it’s worth getting it checked out. I think there are some creams you can put on it, but I’m stuck for what they are. What’s her flooring surfaces like? If she’s only got one or two types, it may be worth adding a bit of variety of surfaces to help limit the spread of the sore hocks if that’s what it is. You can put cream on it to help it heal, I think both Silver Sulfadiazine cream and Neosporin (the plain, not the plus) can be helpful for healing.

Hi JPetrucci! Nice to see you again!

I agree with Azerane, a callus is fine, red and swollen tissue is the beginning of sore hocks (stage 1-2) and that requires treatment. Sore hocks can become very serious indeed. But I think you know that.
You will have to keep a rather close eye on the feet and perhaps make some adjustments to your flooring. There are foam mats that look like big jigsaw puzzles that bunnies often like, they provide great traction and is not too soft and not too hard. A memory foam bathmat can be an alternative in her cage/enclosure. It wouldn’t be good if she ate the foam mats though, so that’s sth you will also have to keep an eye on.
