Well, we’ve taken little Mylo in as some of you might know. Clean bill of health from the vet, eating hay and food okay, drinking. litterbox useage, ehhhh that’s a work in progress.

the current issues are some quirks i haven’t dealt with before, for example, thumping. doesn’t matter what time of day or night, the conditions or even if theres a LACK of noise (no storm, wind, lawn mower etc) when i go check on him (we’re pretty sure Mylos a him), everything seems fine. no buggy eyes, comes over to see me (meanwhile i need to sit with Rocket and talk to him because he’s a tad worked up)

Rocket almost never thumps, 4 of the maybe 7 times he’s thumped that i’ve seen have been a result of Mylo getting him going (they’re kennels are on opposite ends of the couch) so there’s that

moving on, apparently now i’m not allowed to put the food bowl in Mylos kennel or toss an unauthorized poop into the litterbox without getting a grunt (today i got a lunge and teeth pressed against me, no nip thankfully)

part of me wants to say “hey relax, neuter season is probably getting close” and i know everybunny is different, so the hormonal rage probably shows in different forms for different buns. but i’d figure i’d ask the fine folk here

and, i’m not sure what relevance this is but Mylo prefers to sleep all day and be up all night unlike the rest of us (including Rocket)

A bunny can thump for many reasons, absolutely not just from fear. It’s often for attention. Sometimes they thump almost like they were trying to get their point across. Some buns thump when they’re happy even.
The grunting and charging is territorial behavior, but it can also be lack of trust. I have a bun who was big on that -growl, charge, then demand pets as his right.
Territoriality often gets a lot better after neutering (or spaying in case he is a she). Trust is of course sth you’ll be working in and it’ll grow as you grow to know each other. If he is “kennel-aggressive”, his srea when he’s not there and don’t put food in front of him. Bunnies don’t see at all well straight in front of their head. (With a dog you’d do kennel-aggression-training differently of course, but buns are not dogs.)
He seems like a bunny with a lot of bunnitude. That’s not a bad thing.

regarding the grunting and charging, since that never occurred in the past one could take that as an indicator that hormones are starting up correct?

Yes of course It’s typical hormonal behavior. Both in boys and girls.
