My male Neutered rabbit who is litter trained has started to poop around the kitchen as if to mark his territory – doesn’t do it anywhere else, how do we stop him doing this? we have started to pop him back in his pen as soon as we see him dong it, to see if that will help, he appears to be doing it on purpose as when he is in the living room he doesn’t do it, it is as if he thinks the kitchen is his space and he wants to mark it as such.  if he is ever confined to a small area he will poop there to mark his territory too.

how can we stop this in an already neutered rabbit?

        thanks

Would the kitchen happen to be the place where he is given his food or most commonly offered treats? One of my past rabbits used to mark the kitchen a bit. Unfortunately with urine. I thought of it as attention seeking behaviour at the time.

Has anything(such as furniture) been moved in the kitchen recently?
Or could you possibly have a mouse he is picking up the scent of?
