So my bunnies are scared of going to their carrier and I really don’t want them to be scared , but i am going for a health check up to a vet and i have tried luring them in with food but they won’t come inside fully and if i try to block their way out they get scared and i don’t wanna stress them out. Is there any other way to get them to go in?

Also I have been noticing they wont really come out of their cage when i try to free range them, they just kind of stay in their cage ( even if theres food they will just grab it and go back in. Im worried they are not getting enough exercise since their cage isn’t that big                  ( because they wont use the upstairs part) (ps. how do i train them to go up stairs?)

        Ok thank you

You can start by just placing the carrier next to their cage for familiarity, then place food near it. Do it step by step til they are willing to hop in to eat.
You can also just use a laundry basket (the wide kind) and put a blanket over it. Big card-box also works. Those usually don’t seem as scary to the rabbits.
How long have you have them? It takes time for them to get used to the surrounding. Took my rabbit a while to figure out her favourite sleeping spot is on top of the card box.
