Hello again, so I’ve been wanting to groom my rabbit Miffy, but she won’t let me since she is still too shy (I have had her for 3 weeks and I haven’t groomed her yet. Everytime i try she runs away) and I don’t wanna scare her but i also don’t want her to get too much hair in her stomach since she is really hairy (she’s a lionhead) and some fur is kind of matted but it’s not bad. Is it okay if I wait till she gets comfortable with me then groom her? I’m considering to go to an exotic vet but i’m not sure if they do grooming for rabbits? and i’m also worried she will get too scared and lose her trust for me.

        Sorry that was long xD

We’ve had our bun for over a year, and she’s very trusting of us but she hates to be groomed.  She’s molting now, and I’ve found the only way she’ll let me near her with a brush is when she’s having her favorite treat … which happens to be something called Sun Salad.  It takes her a few minutes to eat it … just enough time for me to comb her.  Since she doesn’t like to be picked up, it’s the only way I’ve found to get the job done.  Hopefully someone else will have some better advice.
