Moony’s currently 5 months old and neutered a couple months ago.

Just starting about 7 days ago, he suddenly started pooping and peeing outside of his litterbox very often, and he was very well litterbox trained before. I scoop out all the poops, and he still does. He has the triangular corner type litterbox. He even peed straight in his food bowl today LOL.

His enclosure and lifestyle is exactly the same as it always was. Before this, he automatically knew to use the litterbox right off the bat and was a very clean bunny. Not sure what’s caused this? Any tips?

Bunnies can be picky. They like larger litter boxes most of the time and some bunnies want more than one litter box. Because he pooped in his food, i would assume hes doing it for territory (if its getting warmer where you live, it could cause his instincts to act up) or he is doing it because hes getting picky about his litter box

Maybe a sign of a UTI??? My cat suddenly started peeing in random places and we thought he was spraying – turned out to be a UTI, poor little dude.

I see, I’ll try going back to his big litterbox… He seemed to dislike jumping in it before, maybe because the walls are too high (not sure)? It’s a cheap plastic cat litterbox from petco.

I moved his entire enclosure into a different area of the house also… no idea if that would make a difference lol.

Do rabbits poo/pee in heavily scented areas, like dogs?

Peanut, I don’t think it’s UTI. He’s both pooping and peeing everywhere. :s Still, 50% is in his litterbox, but 50% is out.

Is he fixed? I have a intact male Lionhead that is 50/50 too, it’s driving me crazy. He’s obsessed with my dog too and follows him all over the house and doesn’t leave his side, so the only time he can eat/drink/use the litter box is when I lock him in the cage to give me poor dog a break! I have a small cat litter box too with removable walls and keep it in one side of the cage (I got the huge Oxbow one – I recommend getting it on sale because its so expensive for how much Peanut actually uses it e_e) We don’t have multiple litter boxes for him because the cat would probably use it, and my parents aren’t trying to have them everywhere.

Yeah, I wrote he’s neutered in the first post. :s Maybe he’s just a jerk. LOL

He’s still pooping all over the darn place, so I guess I’ll try the bigger litter box again…

In other news, Moony bit my mom when she reached in to change his water yesterday while I was at work. Vicious. :I
