About a month ago, I’ve bought a new rabbit, placing it with an other young rabbit, both were that of the age 2months when putten together.

They seemed friendly enough at 1st and until this day they keep grooming each other, cuddling each other and all that. But today I’ve decided to let them roam around the room for a while, there has been some changes to the room today.

After a few, I see them fighting, rolling on the ground, and I still cannot understand why they were fighting because they’ve never done it before. As soon as I stopped them from the fight, I putten them back in the same usual cage. And they seemed like they were back to normal. Still Cuddling each other, grooming each other, laying next to each other.

So Yeah I don’t know if I should be very worried bout it or just see what they’d do.

        Any Suggestions please? Thank you.

Are they both male and are they both neutered? It sounds like when you let them out, it triggered their territorial instincts since the room was different. If they arnt neutered, neutering them will help

Since your rabbits are now around 3 months old, and entering adolescence, they need to be separated. The problems are only going to escalate at their age. If they are male and female, you run the risk of pregnancy. If they are the same sex, they are at the age where they might start fighting due to hormone surges. Males and females can fight too. Rabbits can severely injure each other when fighting. You will need to get your rabbits spayed and or neutered, then properly bond them after a few weeks.

Here are 2 good articles on bonding:

            http://rabbit.org/faq-bonding-multiple-rabbits/

You need to go ahead and separate them now, before you are presented with a litter or before one or both of your rabbits gets hurt.

Thank you for the suggestions, They are both female and I guess they are both around 3 months now so I guess I will Separate them for the time being, until they’re neutered.
