        Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could help me –
I’ve just bought a new 10 month old mini lop rabbit 2 days ago now – the problem is, he is hardly eating or drinking. We have a water bottle for him but he only seems to drink when we actually place a water bowl down infront of him or I hold the bottle to him. With the food – he touches some of his pellets but doesn’t eat a lot and not sure I’m how much hay he actually eats.
The poops that he is passing in the last two days are small.
Not sure if it is stress or what because when he is let out he is a happy little bun who is exploring and loves attention.

Could this just be due to stress and then he will pick up his eating and drinking habits again soon? Or is something we need to be concerned about e.g the vets.

Many thank thank you – as well really appericate everyone’s help.

          Hi,

My Holland Lop only drinks from his water bowl and does not like a water bottle. Also, it takes a few days for a bun to get settled into a new environment so maybe he is still a little stressed. Also, are you feeding him the same pellets as from his previous home. I know juvenile pellets tend to be made of alfalfa hay while adult is not.

An older post stated that smaller poops can mean the GI tract slowing and could Lead to GI stasis, which can be serious. I would certainly call a vet to be safe.
