The spray contains Pyrethrin and I can’t find any information that says it’s safe or not. It’s the 8 in 1 ultra care and I don’t want to keep it if it isn’t safe. Also how do you clean dog flea shampoo out of a bunny blanket safely? I knocked it over and into the hamper. And ty in advance. I knew the spray was on the safe list back when I had freckles but I’m not quiet sure anymore it was years ago when we had a huge flea issue cause of sand fleas.

I know that Pyrethrin is considered a natural product, but I would still be wary about using the spray on rabbits. For fleas, it’s best to stick with Advantage or Revolution drops.

I think if you laundered the bunny blanket, maybe with an extra rinse, that it should be fine to use again.

That’s what I was thinking. she doesn’t have any at the moment, thank goodness and I’m not really losing anything getting rid of the spray. Friend of mine was just trying to add to her emergency kit and I’ll tell her thank but I’m not quite sure it’s safe and I’ll put her blanket thru a few cycles in our washer. Thanks again Toby. Like I said I was putting it in the hamper and mom was cleaning under the sink and I bumped the dogs flea shampoo and it spilled on it.

Pyrethrin is questionable. Probably okay for treating things around the house and then it’s safe once it’s dried. But I wouldn’t use it on a bunny or any of the bunny’s things. For treatment of fleas, Advantage or Revolution are the way to go.

As for the blanket, I’m sure it will be fine after it has been thoroughly washed.

And now for a little public service announcement just in case someone Google’s this topic and is reading this thread… Never use Frontline on rabbits. Okay, you may not return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Hehe, I do know frontline is a serious no for fleas on a bunny, I wouldn’t use it if it was the last flea treatment on earth cause of horror stories. And thank you again, for the advice on that and the blanket, just wanted to make sure I didn’t have to toss it and replace it cause of the shampoo. Right now we are a bit upset, our mat we sleep on is drying from a cage cleaning and we have thumped our protest. Oh well she’s gonna have to wait cause she wee weed on it and I had to wash it.

I have no doubt that you already know that Jessica. I just feel I need to make a little public service announcement just in case someone else happens upon this thread. It’s good to get that warning out there as much as possible.

Haha! They are funny creatures sometimes, so particular about their belongings and where they are located.
