I have a water dish for Clover, not a bottle and the water level is always the same. I have offered Clover water and it just doesn’t drink it. I had the same problem with my previous bun, she would only drink when she was REALLY sick.

Any ideas how to make water more appealing?

Is he eating lots of veg, he won’t be inclined to drink water – because he doesn’t need any. My buns never touch their water during the vegetation period. I just exchange it every day. In the winter when they eat more hay, they drink a lot more.

Is his urine consistently dark and concentrated and sparse? Are his droppings crumbling and very dry? If not, he’s probably getting enough water.

The best way I know to ensure a higher water intake is to serve leafy greens soaking wet. I don’t know if Clover is gettibng greens yet, of course. He’s still a baby.

Yes, clover eats everything now, I have a constant supply of hay and a few leaves of fresh greens throughout the day. Clover is 6 weeks old now and I just stopped giving it milk. Poop looks normal. Urine is dark, how often if pees I don’t know but by the end of the day litter box is quite wet. I will keep an eye out. Thank you very much, I will wet its greens extra before giving
