Hi all! I’m very, very new to the community so I’ll introduce myself and my bun first. I’m Daisy, and I rescued Rosie about 5 months ago. Several vet bills and litter-training accidents in, she’s finally a healthy girl and (much to my enjoyment) seems to love spending time with my fiancé and me.

I’ve been looking everywhere for answers, but have yet to find one: is it advisable to adopt more than one rabbit? She’s happy with us, but sometimes we work long hours and I know rabbits are social animals, so I was wondering if she would be happier if she had someone around all the time. I’m a first time bunny mom, and I’ve noticed a lot of people on binkybunny have multiple buns. Is it worth looking into more or should I just be happy that she’s happy right now?

If you can afford it and your bunny baby seems lonely while you and your fiance are away, it would be worth considering to adopt another. But some bunnies do prefer to be single buns. They like having the place to themselves while their humans are away, and they like that their main attention comes from their humans

If you think she is lonely and needs a friend, make sure you have the money, time, and energy to work on bonding after you bring a bunny that she picks, home. To let her pick her bunny friend, go to the same rescue and ask for bunny dates. There might be some buns she really likes, and some she really doesnt. Either way, let her pick before you pick. Itll make bonding a lot easier
