I was just thinking about this today so I thought I would share my bad experience. So around last August I went and I got a hamster it was all cool and fun for about two weeks we did everything together and then pop out came some babies and my best friend was now a mama. So I did all the research to make sure I could take the best care for them possible and decided to post on a forum to see if I had missed anything. And the owner of the forum messages me saying ( this is just a summary) Im sorry but this is your problem. You should’ve thought of this before you got a hamster. and look at you (i think she said bad person) to buy a hamster from a petstore when you should’ve went to a rescue. you also shouldve done your research before getting a hamster” At this moment I’m just like wow. I did do my research. BUT who can anticipate a pregnant hamster. Just wow wow wow. Well thats my bad experience.

Wow, I’m very sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. I can’t believe that the owner of the forum would actually say that to you. What a horrid thing to say to someone looking for help and wanting to do the best for their pet.

No matter if I think people have gotten an animal the wrong way or if I feel they’re doing the wrong thing, it’s in the animal’s best interest to be kind to that person and help them and offer as much advice as I can.

Wow that’s rude! I agree with Azerane, if somebody needs help you should give it to them. Hopefully everything worked out for you anyway though.

How rude, and how counter-productive! If the hamster-forum-owner really cared about hamsters, she should have offered you help and advice. You already had the hamster and the babies. You couldn’t like un-do them, so what good could possibly come of her lecturing you??

Not very nice, not to you and not to your hamsters either.
