Hello! I’m Bri, or NoMane on this forum. haha.

I have a 5ish month old chinchilla colored lionhead named Bea(or Houdini if our gender guessing was wrong) who actually is due to get spayed tomorrow. Funnily enough, she never grew a mane! Her parents are fluffy 4H show rabbits, but shes a shortie.

She loves to dress up, and comes when called/stands on command. More or less free roam. Loves to be held, cuddled, and pet when not in one of her hormonal moods as of late. Spoiled rotten.

LOL In that first outfit it looks like a fluffy white bunny shark swallowed her from behind.

              (((easy spay vibes, little Bea)))

Thanks for the good spay vibes everyone. <3 Only a few more hours before she is taken in! <br>
The first picture is actually her at 3 months, she’s a smidge over 3lbs now and very lean and athletic looking.

Everyone loves her bunny costume, I don’t put that one on her often because the hood is so long and I’m afraid it’ll get too hot. Lately she’s been in sundresses because they are cooler and easier to put on/binky in. I have to agree she is quite photogenic!

                      Welcome. : )

She’s adorable! <3. Loving that last photo especially.

She is just like my rabbit TimTIm! I don’t know his breed but can say with certainty that there are no lionhead genes in him. We don’t have that breed here in Australia. Rabbit genetics are so weird.

Thanks! Funnily enough, she is purebred lionhead. Her parents are registered. In theory *all* her genes should be lionhead but she just… happened to not grow any of the fuzz, and a plethora of other breed disqualifiers.  like a dalmation without its spots! A coworker’s young daughter shows them and Bea + 1 other baby(who did end up show quality) were her first litter. The little girl is thrilled that Bea has such a loving home.

Welcome! It’s actually possible for a lionhead to be born without the mane gene. Sounds like that’s what happened here. She sure is adorable though, I love your pictures!

Longhairedlions- It didn’t go through. I have a post in the Rabbits Q & A with details about what happened here: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/145775/Default.aspx#473518

LBJ10- Thanks, I’m sure that’s what happened here. I think shes pretty cute even without the mane.
