This is my first time attempting to post a video…so hopefully it works. Above is a video I originally was going to record and post because I wasn’t sure if she was being aggressive or playing….turns out I believe she’s just playing especially since this shows her coming out of the cage for the first time since I got her and her “sister” (the grouchy nethie in the background) three days ago. These are the two buns y dad surprised my daughter with after Dottie (a dwarf we got from a woman in front of tractor supply) died suddenly while I was at work.
Both of them are rescues, they were surrendered by a failed breeder along with quite a few others. Flopsie, a velveteen lop, had broken her left back foot when she was a lot (they’re both just over 2 months old) and was the runt. Flopsie is extremely outgoing though still cautious and has a love for running and hiding in the hide box and jumping back out like we’re playing peek a boo. Satin (a Netherland dwarf) is still extremely skittish and won’t let us touch her yet, but also ventured out of the cage for the first time not long after this video was taken. She mostly just hangs out on the second story or in the back of the cage on the bottom and avoids us as much as she can even when treats are involved. But I’m hoping flopsie will rub off on her.
I was too overjoyed and overloaded with cuteness not to share.

Thanks Azerane, she is such a goof ball, it so funny to see how much fun she has in her cage I can’t wait till she discovers she has a whole room she can Binky in.
Oh, Gina they are so very spoiled. Well flopsie is anyway, satin won’t let us yet. Not even for treats, if we ignore her she will get curious and come sniff us but if we even look her way she turns her back and hops off flicking her feet like “How dare you look at me unworthy one!” Lol she seems like a scared little diva.

We rescued two strays last year, it took eight months before Gina trusted me enough to rub her ears! Scared little diva is a good way of seeing how Satin is

She is very much a diva, but for the first time since I’ve gotten her she just finished going just as nuts as Flopsie. I was laying by her cage and she came right up to me as if to ask “Did you see me? Did you see me?!” Lol its so fun to watch them go from terrified and obviously horrible conditions to them gradually realizing this big huge cage is just for them and they can be happy. Both are lounged out, one on each floor. Flopsie just let me pet her to sleep and even softly ground her teeth when I’d rub her ears. Eeek!!!! so exciting, I think I might rescue buns buns from now on. Just needmore space and money

Oh my goodness! That investigative stretch at the end. Ooof! Too cute.

I agree, though – buns are addictive and if I had the resources, I’d adopt every bun that crossed my path and quite happily become a crazy bunny lady. lol

I can easily see myself becoming a crazy bun and cat lady (cat lady was always a threat, bun lady is fairly new)

Satin learned how to jump in and out of the cage on her own now….more cuteness
