My rabbit is a Tan Rabbit breed, about 9 months old. He is a neutered male. The problem I’m having is that he is constantly digging. Blankets, carpet, clothing, ect. He never stops. As soon as I put him down, he starts digging and chewing whatever he can. Why won’t he stop? Please help me!

Try finding a clean cardboard box, cut a hole in opposite sides (bunny sized), fill it up with crumpled paper balls (butcher paper works well) and toilet paper tubes and see if your bun can be redirected with it.

You’ve got a digger and those bunnies are busy busy!  LOL  (Though I think it will get better with age) but just like puppies that are “chewers” and use their youthful energy to chew on everything in site, you have a bunny digger and the excess energy is being used for that.  So you may need to find things to distract him  —  Q8bunny was right on about finding something like a diggy box for him to work off his energy with.

Check out our DIY Toy ideas — the main page has some diggy box ideas.

Gina was a terrible digger until we got her a husbun, though she may well resume her digging again, and we could end up with a pair of diggers

Excuse me, GJ, but Podge is far too dignified to allow Miss Gina to lead him astray. Right? Right?? :p

Another thing Chewie likes, Valentine, is laundry baskets full of old stuff like fleece and ratty tshirts and random left socks that he can steal, as well as corrugated cardboard cat stuff (like disposable scratching posts).
